This episode is about an unexpected encounter with an interesting service provider whom I came across a few decades ago in Ahmedabad, in western India.

The first evening at a camp in Northeastern India revolves around a swashbuckler displaying his drinking prowess. 

Hours before taking up a new job, an unexpected encounter with a stranger, a self-appointed sentinel, turns out to be an unusual, thought provoking interaction. 

This fortnight's episode revolves around a Taxi Driver whom I encountered about a decade ago in Kolkata, a well-known large metropolis in the Eastern part of India. On a family outing, it started to drizzle, and we jumped into a taxi to rush back home. The roads were empty and the taxi driver was a confident driver with fifteen years of driving experience and knowledge of the roads. When a famished beggar crosses the road, blissfully unaware of the approaching vehicle, it all happens, and a mundane day is transformed into an unforgettable day. 

The idea behind "Mundane Stories" the fortnightly podcast, is presented. The ordinary humdrum day can at times be more extraordinary than we expect, provided we remain open to all the  experiences that life throws up. We can then discover magical moments in mundane encounters.
